National Geographic has announced the Faroe Islands as the readers’ choice winner for ‘Best Trip’ in 2015.
“This year for the first time we invited our well-traveled online readers and followers to participate in creating our Best Trips list,” the National Geographic writes.
The article says the Faroe Islands are a beautiful destination all year round, but recommends going on March 20, 2015 when there will be a solar eclipse visible from the Faroe Islands.
“For most people, a full solar eclipse will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and from what I've heard, it should be quite magnificent. My grandmother told me about her reaction to the full solar eclipse that was visible from the Faroe Islands 60 years ago, on June 30, 1954.
