The Winners of Pan-ArcticVision 2024
On Saturday, Pan-ArcticVision 2024 – a northern twist on the Eurovision Song Contest – took place in Nuuk, Greenland.
Artists from all over the Arctic performed on stage at the Katuaq Cultural Centre – with complete film production for international live streaming.
The audience voted for the following winners in the various categories:
• The place in the Arctic that deserves to host the next edition of the Pan-ArcticVision: Nunavut, Northern Canada.
• Most Arctic song: “Katjajjausiit”, Iva & Angu from Iqaluit, Nunavut.
• Most revolutionary song: “Правило двух стен / The rule of two walls”, Evgeny Goman from Murmansk, Northwest Russia; lives today in Kirkenes, Northern Norway.
• The song that gives the strongest sense of community and togetherness: “Čávkkus – Saukkonen – Oteren”, Emil Kárlsen from Storfjord (Omasvuotna), Northern Norway/Sápmi.
