Tanbreez Mining Receives Exploitation Permit in Greenland
Tanbreez Mining has been granted exploitation permit for an 18 square kilometers area in southern Greenland, according to Sermitsiaq.
The permit is valid for 30 years and is granted on conditions that must be met by the end of 2022. The conditions include detailed requirements regarding security and environmental issues for both the period of operation as well as the subsequent closing down of the mine.
The permit gives Tanbreez the right to exploit materials found in the eudialyte mineral, which a.o. contains zirconium.
