President of Iceland on state visit to Norway in April

At the invitation of Their Majesties King Harald and Queen Sonja, the President of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir, and her husband Björn Skúlason, will pay a state visit to Norway from April 8th-10th 2025. The visit confirms the close relationship between Iceland and Norway, says the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release, adding:

"The relationship between Iceland and Norway has a long historical tradition. Our shared cultural heritage and close cooperation in culture, business, research, and defense will be central to the visit. The visit emphasizes the importance of Nordic cooperation in uncertain times."
