Over 200 Applications for New Arctic Defense Education Program in Greenland

This fall, young people in Greenland could apply for a new Arctic basic education developed by Denmark's Armed Forces and the Greenlandic government. The educational program aims to strengthen the Greenlandic community's preparedness and resilience. 

The Joint Arctic Command now has an overview of the final number of new Arctic basic education applicants. That is reported by Sermitsiaq.

A total of 236 have applied to the program, which lasts six months and includes salary, board, and lodging. In the first round, 20 students will be offered a place on the course.
