New Svalbard white paper unanimously adopted

The Norwegian parliament unanimously adopted the new Svalbard white paper today, Tuesday.

That is reported by Svalbardposten.

The parliament also decided on these two proposals:

  1. The parliament asks the government to explore which measures can be introduced to strengthen the mental health services in Longyearbyen.
  2. The parliament asks the government to ensure that the air freight capacity between the mainland and Svalbard is maintained until a permanent solution is in place.
