Life Expectancy in Iceland Has Decreased

In 2023, the average life expectancy in Iceland was 80.7 years for men and 83.8 years for women. This is a slight decrease from 2022 of 0.4 years for men and 0.1 years for women.

This was reported by the Iceland Review.

Life expectancy has, however, risen by almost six years for Icelandic men and four years for Icelandic women since 1985.
