Kiruna in Sweden Competes for European Capital of Culture Title

Kiruna in Northern Sweden is competing for the European Capital of Culture title in 2029. That is reported by Eye on the Arctic.

In 2029, Sweden and Poland will each host one European Capital of Culture. The two candidates from Sweden are Kiruna in Northern Sweden and Uppsala in central Sweden. 

Bodø in Northern Norway is the 2024 European Capital of Culture, while Oulu in Northern Finland will hold the title in 2026.
