Greenland’s Self-Rule Authority Introduces Its First National Budget

The new self-rule authority in Greenland, the Naalakkersuisut, yesterday introduced its proposed national budget for 2022, according to KNR. The parties Inuit Ataqatigiit and Naleraq propose a budget with a DKK 31 million surplus.

Over a four-year period, a budget surplus of DKK 132 million has been budgeted.

“Despite the Corona pandemic, the economy of this country goes quite well”, said Greenland’s Finance Minister Asii Chemnitz Narup (IA) at a press conference.
