The Faroe Island Hits New Record
The Faroese workforce is the most financially active in Europe. And many start working at a young age.
That is reported by the newspaper Sermitsiaq.
The Faroe Islands have an employment rate of 84.9 percent. This was revealed by a recent survey of the workforce from statistics Faroe Islands - Hagstova Føroya, based on Faroese figures and data from Eurostat.
In the recently published annual survey of 2022, the employment rate of the entire workforce between the ages of 15 and 74 in the Faroe Islands is compared with 35 other European countries, including Turkey.
The employment rate indicates what proportion of the population of working age is in the workforce that is available to the labor market.
