Danish Scientists Found Volcano West of Greenland

Danish scientists have located a vulcan in the ocean west of Nuuk, according to Sermitsiaq.

The volcano was found more or less by accident when an oil company was searching for oil in the area.

The volcano dates back to when the super-continent Pangea started parting up so that Africa, Europe and the Americas drifted away from each other. This partition led to a series of volcanoes arising in the Atlantic Ocean.

The discovery was recently published in the Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences.
