Chinese Entrepreneur Withdraws From Airport Bidding

Chinese entrepreneur CCCC (China Communications Construction Company) has withdrawn from the bidding process for the Nuuk and Ilulissat airport construction project in Greenland, according to Sermitsiaq.

This is due to the company’s arguing that it is not able to bid on equal terms with other companies as it has problems acquiring visas for its staff. The company has already faced difficulties in trying to get visas for the engineers meant to go to Greenland to finish the tender.

CCCC was one out of six companies that had been invited to submit bids for the new airport construction contracts.
