Arctic Council Preparedness Conference to Bodø
One of the first international conferences dedicated to a holistic view of Arctic emergency management will take place in Bodø, northern Norway, as one of the Arctic Council's last actions as the council chair before handing over the leadership to the Kingdom of Denmark in May.
The conference is part of the official program of the Norwegian Chairship of the Arctic Council (2023-2025). The Emergency Prevention, Preparedness and Response Working Group of the Arctic Council (EPPR) is a main organizer in cooperation with Nordlab at Nord University.
The conference will provide a platform for discussions, information exchange and advancing work on emergency management in the Arctic. It will highlight the importance and interconnectedness of different aspects of emergency prevention, preparedness and response in the Arctic.
