Trump’s Former Chief of Staff: “NATO’s Northern Flank Has Weak Points”
NATO's northern flank has weak points because Denmark does not sufficiently counter Russian activity in Greenland and the Faroe Islands, says analyst and Donald Trump's former Chief of Staff Alexander B. Gray, writes the newspaper Sermitsiaq.
Gray believes that Denmark should draw clear lines in cooperation with Greenland with regard to defense and security policy and that this should be done to ensure that Denmark lives up to its obligations towards its allies in NATO and secures NATO's northern flank against Russian aggression.
The statement comes in connection with an analysis in the magazine Foreign Policy. Alexander B. Gray is the former Chief of Staff of the National Security Council in the White House during Donald Trump's term as President. Today he is a Senior Fellow at the organization American Foreign Policy Council.
